Saturday evening was the annual Twinkle Light Parade in the Nob Hill area of Albuquerque.  Since this is still my first year in ABQ, it was therefore my first time to check out the parade.  It provided  lot of great photography opportunities, while being a challenging low light shooting situation.

I got a food photography assignment to make photos that will be used for an online ordering app at a place called Cake Fetish in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  I was intrigued, naturally.  I was greeted by the owner, Kendall Harris, who has won a TV baking competition!  She began bringing out a wide assortment of amazing looking baked goods.

AATA International Conference 2017 Albuquerque

One of my favorite things about being a professional photographer is getting to learn about things I never would otherwise.  One of the ways I experience this is from photographing international conferences like the American Art Therapy Association 48th Annual Conference.  Just a month earlier I got to spend four days shooting the ABSA Conference, and for AATA 2017 three more days at the Albuquerque Convention Center learning about the important work art therapists do with their patients, and especially veterans.
