I have been spending a lot of time in Cibola County, New Mexico lately! This visit was very purposeful for rural land real estate photography client Hemingway Land Company. I had to wait over 2 weeks for there to finally be clouds in this area before I could go and make these photographs because as you can see, clouds add a lot of visual impact to these images that plain blue skies would not. Careful weather checking and planning went into making this shoot happen on just the right day to deliver the best results for my client. Getting variety from the same views rural land real estate

Here at Jason Collin Photography rural land real estate is a staple of my business, especially with Hemingway Land, now over 3 years working together! I had a huge 18 property shoot in Socorro County recently for this client. This type of shoot takes a lot of prep work, making sure I plot out the properties in the most efficient order, not any possible impassable roads, and then perhaps the biggest challenge, trying to get the photos to look somewhat different even though all 18 properties essentially had the same open views, and were all just empty, featureless land. How to get variety then? Well, have the clouds change helps. Then sometimes I frame the sun to the upper left, or the upper right, or I move the horizon higher or lower in the frame too.

Staying in Albuquerque for real estate photography

After traveling around the state (and beyond) for real estate photography recently, it was nice to have a professional residential real estate shoot right here in Albuquerque. I have known Dan McGirk almost since I first moved to ABQ, so was glad to get the call from him to photograph more of his real estate listings. I really appreciate that Dan appreciates the benefits of choosing a professional photographer to shoot a residential home rather than the listing agent merely making cell phone photos of a few rooms. The photos alone may not sell the house, but proper professional photos will get more potential buyers to schedule a viewing. Pizza and photography in Torrance County

Back in Torrance County New Mexico for more rural land real estate photography for Hemingway Land. The timing was perfect to shoot this property on a Friday, as Fridays are pizza nights for us, and where is the best pizza place in all of New Mexico? Well, right in Torrance County in the town of Edgewood. So in between shooting daylight and sunset and cactus shots, I got to eat my favorite pizza in the world! I call that a win-win and a great way to end the work week.

Commercial real estate photography inside and out in ABQ

Typically when Smartshoot offers me a commercial photography job here in Albuquerque, New Mexico it is for a food photography shoot. However, this time the client was not a restaurant, but an apartment complex needing a few select interiors and exteriors photographed with updated photos for their website and marketing materials. For this shoot I made entirely HDR real estate photos for both the interior and exterior images. Photographing non-staged interiors is always a challenge, but I focused on the features each room did have to highlight each particular living space. The exteriors were easy since the grounds were very green and the buildings had interesting design.
