Valencia County NM Rural Land Real Estate Drone Video with Train!

Train rolls into the sunset shot

I was back in nearly the exact same area of Valencia County, New Mexico as I was two weeks ago on another rural land real estate shoot and drone flight. Last time I shared these stunning sunset photos, this time it’s a drone video I made of the property. In another coincidence, when I had my drone up in Valencia County last time when I was just out on a drive, a train rolled by and I ended up making a drone video of it. This time another train rolled into frame just as I was setting up to get the final sunset shot. Just another happy coincidence!

Stunning Las Cruces New Mexico Sunset 4K Drone Video & Aerial Photos

Beautiful Isolated Las Cruces Desert

Out on assignment for Hemingway Land in Las Cruces, New Mexico, miles of dirt road took me to an isolated, but beautiful rural desert real estate property with great views of the Organ Mountains. In fact mountains highlighted the views to the west and the north as well. I was actually right in this same remote section of desert in May for another even harder to reach property. I was relieved to discover the washed out road with deep ruts was now mostly filled in with chalky dirt that covered myself and my Jeep nearly entirely. I had to be extra careful to keep my cameras and my drone clean!

Insect serenade while drone flying

On my fourth trip to Navajo Dam New Mexicojust this year, I was treated to both a great sunset for this rural land real estate drone video, but also a chorus of what sounded like marbles being clanked around in a bag! This cicada looking insect was out in mass singing away not caring I needed to concentrate on flying! At least the stuck to hiding on bush and tree branches and were no threat to the drone in the air!

Artesia for the first time

It is rare I get to go to a new place in New Mexico already haven criss-crossed the state dozens of times in just over 2 years for the rural land real estate photography and drone video work I do. So it was very welcome to make my way to Artesia, New Mexico for my latest shoot. I drove east out of Cloudcroft down a beautiful country road through tall timber along a canyon for miles. This is very unusual scenery for southern New Mexico which is mostly empty desert.

Stunning views from Rio Rancho

Out in rural Rio Rancho on assignment for a new local real estate client, Mike Mellos, flying my DJI Mavic Pro drone over a large rural land property with great views of the Sandia Mountains. Mike wanted me to show the large road frontage of the property as well as the sloping of the land beyond the property to indicate nothing could be built that will block those wonderful mountain views.

Belen New Mexico Rural Land Real Estate Drone Video

Finding beauty in the desert of Belen

In the past few months I have made several trips to rural Belen, New Mexico for rural land real estate photo shoots, but only photos. This time the client, Hemingway Land Company, also wanted drone video of this 5-acre property. This area does not have a lot of interest topographically, so the challenge was to fly cinematically over mostly desolate land. At the end I found an arroyo to fly over in one of my most complex flights yet. Then I finished with finding a few trees before the final sunset shot.

East Mountains Albuquerque Rural Land Real Estate Drone Video

East Mountains Albuquerque Rural Land Real Estate Drone Video

East Mountains a world away from Albuquerque

Going from the west side to the east side of the Sandia Mountains brings a dramatic change in scenery, and lifestyle. Which would you prefer? The city sprawl of the westside or the wide open forests of the east side? Albuquerque is on the west side, and numerous small villages are on the east side. A rural land real estate drone video assignment took me to the east side recently and I could not help but think just how much of a divide the mountains are. Living on 22 acres of forested land would be very peaceful. Driving over 30 minutes to go see a movie, not so convenient. I guess the ideal is to have both!
