25 Headshots with Engineers in Albuquerque New Mexico

25 Headshots with Engineers in Albuquerque New Mexico

Engineer Headshots for all 25 at WSP

Another business here in Albuquerque, New Mexico knows the value of having uniform, professional business headshots for the entire team. WSP wanted me to get headshots of all the engineers that work in the Albuquerque, New Mexico office so that they all had a consistent look, but allowed for each person’s personality to still shine through. So some people preferred to be a little to the left, some a little to the right, some smiled, some did not. Regardless of these individual expressions, no doubt looking at all the headshots together, you can tell they are on the same team. This is something I really want to help all businesses with, showing that everyone is on the same team by having consistent, professional looking headshots from the owner to the newest hired person. This is the right impression to give to clients and customers!

Aerial Drone Photography of Albuquerque New Mexico southeast

SE Albuquerque by drone photo

A recent drone flight job took me to the far southeast of Albuquerque, New Mexico with the main purpose of making 4K drone video for the client, but while my drone was up in the air, I thought I’d get some still photos as well too as I had never flown in this area before. There is nothing like a drone’s eye view photo to show the grid-like layout of Albuquerque, and the Sandia Mountains looming on the eastern border. Can you see your house in these photos??

Landing a Mavic Pro Drone

(do not try this yourself)

On a recent multi-day drone flight I got work alongside videographer Nate Sorenson while flying over cranes and utility trucks. He was recording from the ground and me from the air. Nate also wanted to get some footage of me actually flying, and in the clip above, landing the DJI Mavic Pro drone. Soon after first learning to fly the drone, I switched to doing mid-air hand landings because I was often flying out in the desert and it made things much easier to land without aiming for a small helipad that I use to launch from. Thanks Nate for capturing this!

ABQWest Holiday Celebration & Donation Drive 2018

More Professional Vendor Table Setup!

This was the second year in a row I had a vendor table at the ABQWest Chamber of Commerce Holiday Celebration and Donation Drive event. My setup was much more professional this year compared to last where I just had my logo printed on an 8x10 piece of paper! This year I had a table runner with my logo and contact information on it, plus two easels with 30”x40” canvas prints on display. This is in addition to a 27” 4K monitor showing 4K drone video highlights from the past year, and Jessica’s MacBook showing a photo highlights slideshow. I also donated a print to the raffle.

Forrest Gump Point Monument Valley Road

Forrest Gump Point Monument Valley Road

The Most Iconic Road View of the West

I do not know if the movie Forrest Gump put this view into my mind, or maybe it was from a time long before, but certainly for years and years I dreamed of seeing this iconic western road view. I believe it to be the signature view from the road of the American West. A road that vanishes and falls and rises into the mesas of Monument Valley that looks alien, futuristic, and ancient at the same time.

Spectacular Belen New Mexico Rural Land Real Estate Sunset

Spectacular Belen New Mexico Rural Land Real Estate Sunset

Wide Open Belen, NM Sunset

I traveled down to Belen, New Mexico with my photography gear and Kiki for a rural land photography shoot. I have been to this exact area of Belen twice before, and know it so well I knew where to look for a cow skeleton, which was still there even though I have not been to this area for over a year! I got my daylight shots, then had time to walk around with Kiki in total silence save for the blowing wind. Then we settled in a spot and I setup my Nikon D750 on my Indoor carbon fiber tripod and waited for the sun to get into position. I decided to make the shot just as the sun peaked below the cloud cover while still above the distant mountain. Since the land itself was just desolate, I composed to show more of the spectacular clouds. I got paid to enjoy this view. Sometimes, being a photographer is not too bad, sometimes.

Pinkerton Hot Springs in Colorado

Pinkerton Hot Springs in Colorado

On a recent multi-day rural land real estate photo shoot in Navajo Dam, New Mexico, there was free time one day for an afternoon trip up to nearby Durango, Colorado where Jessica and I pretty much stumbled upon Pinkerton Hot Springs.  Right on the side of the highway sits this natural hot spring that you can take your shoes off and dip your toes in the warm water burbling up from somewhere way down below.  Usually these natural hot springs require a hike or at least a small trek to reach.  This one though, you can drive right up to!  It's a small hidden gem worth stopping for if you are ever near or in Durango, Colorado!
