I met Elijah some months ago playing ultimate frisbee. I learned he is an actor and and he learned I was a photographer, so we came to discuss making new headshots for him right here in Pacific Grove, California as we only live a few blocks from each other! Shooting here at the Jason Collin Photography Studio allows for convenient tethered shooting reviewing results on a 43” TV screen to see in detail each headshot as it is made in real time. This lets clients clearly see their headshot as we work on making the exact headshot wanted, and also allows for more creativity seeing results as they are shot and what works best in terms of background and lighting. Updated design gets updated product photos for cola bottles in Pasadena
Back in 2023 I photographed the first cola product this client brought to market. Since then, he has changed the name and of course had new labels made. So it should be pretty simple to repeat the results of the first shoot, right? Well, one and a half years ago I lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico and now I live in Pacific Grove, California. The client has always lived in the LA area, but the cola was bottled in a small town outside of ABQ. So I was still able to make new products shots for this client by driving down to LA, looking at my BTS reference photo from the first shoot, and replicating the same shots I made for him before. Model Portfolio shoot in Albuquerque with a professional MUA
Leanna wanted a model portfolio photo shoot here in Albuquerque with a professional MUA present for the shoot. Well, this year I have formally partnered with Samanthia to work as a MUA and hair stylist for shoots right here in the JCP Home Studio. We made a wide variety of photos for Leanna from head to toe to headshot. In between shots Samanthia made sure Leanna’s hair was in place looking its best. Creative actress headshot photo session in ABQ with a makeup artist
Sheryl was first going to visit the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for an actor headshot session last fall, but she is a very busy person and often out of ABQ for months at a time. Finally everything aligned for her to get new actress headshots this week and also for Hillary to come over to be the makeup artist for the shoot, as Hillary was a past actor headshot client and was the person who referred Sheryl to me! It was a great headshot session and I really like the results we got showcasing Sheryl’s personality from serious to smiling. Thank you for the referral Hillary and to Sheryl for still choosing me as her actor headshot photographer!
