Deming New Mexico Desert Landscapes in Jeep Renegade Trailhawk

Deming New Mexico Desert Landscapes in Jeep Renegade Trailhawk

Wide open desert in Deming New Mexico

Back in Deming, New Mexico exploring both east and west of the Florida Mountains out on a rural land real estate photography shoot for Hemingway Land Company, my Jeep Renegade Trailhawk took me miles off road dodging tumbleweeds and avoiding thorny bushes. In a total of 6 hours in the desert over two days, I saw no human, just a few jack rabbits and a coyote. It was great! It was definitely a New Mexico True experience.

Walking across Devil's Bridge in Sedona Arizona

Walking across Devil's Bridge in Sedona Arizona

Line up for the Devil’s Bridge

Hidden on the back of a mesa in Sedona, Arizona, the Devil’s Bridge is a stunning rock formation with a long line of people waiting to take a photo on it. There is a long way and a less long way to reach the Devil’s Bridge in the first place. Having a Jeep Renegade Trailhawk allowed us to take the less long way, as a mile of very, very rough road was bouncily traversed in the Jeep. After the still not insignificant hike to the back of the mesa, I think I noticed the long line of people before actually noticing the Devil’s Bridge itself! How does something like this naturally occur? It’s just another wonder of Nature. One cannot actually cross the bridge as it would take a hardly leap to get back to the side of the mesa, which I contemplated doing, but with much of it still snow and ice covered, that is something only possible in the summer. I did not wait in the line to stand on the bridge, but you can see Jessica in the top photo standing out on the Devil’s Bridge. As you can see, the red rock view’s from the bridge are not bad at all either!

Drone Aerial Photography of Rio Rancho roads

This was my third drone aerial photography project in the past two months for WSP, this time taking me way up to Rio Rancho along Paseo Del Norte Blvd and Unser Blvd. This was more of a utilitarian assignment getting aerial photos of the road itself and the intersection, but while I had the drone up I did point to toward the Sandia Mountains to get the above photo mostly because I thought it was a unique view I could share. Then the top down view of the intersection I found personally interesting as I managed to somehow capture a moment with zero vehicles passing through it!

Drone Aerial Photography of Rio Bravo Blvd bridge

Back out on another project for WSP, this time flying my drone over the Rio Bravo Blvd bridge over the Rio Gande River. This was quite a change from the urban area in central Albuquerque for the first project. Surprisingly there were more flying restrictions in this more remote area than in the city. I had to for the first time use a DJI custom unlock request to even be able to launch the drone here. Once up in the air, the views were quite stunning with some color in the trees stills and the Sandia Mountains providing the background and the Rio Grande River the foreground.

Sedillo Sunset

From the ground, it was impossible to get an idea of what a rural land real estate property looked like due to near complete tree cover. I was out for a new rural land real estate client near the small town of Sedillo, in the east mountains area of Albuquerque, New Mexico. I took what photos I could from the ground with my Sony a7R IV, and was amazed what a difference 100 feet makes when my new drone, a DJI Mavic 2 Pro, went way up above the treelike and revealed hills, mountains, and a brilliant setting sun. This is the value drone video provides in compliment to the still photos I make from the ground, especially for rural land real estate. This is my cut of the video focusing on just the mountains and the sunset.

Luxury Home with Stunning Mountain Views in Rio Rancho

My photography work often takes me to nearby Rio Rancho, New Mexico, but never before have I seen views of the Sandia Mountains like this from a residential home. Step out into the backyard and there before you, totally unobstructed by anything artificial, loom the Sandias. Look to the north and south and catch a glimpse of the Rio Grande River. Inside this architectural home features those views from all the rooms on the east side of the home, with its open floor plan. Want to own these views? You have a choice of one night or forever as the owner does list this house as an AirBNB, but is also thinking of flat out selling it. If you value views, privacy, and an awesome home office space, this is the property for you!
