3 Days Photographing Blue River Ranch in Arizona

At the end of August I had a unique opportunity to photograph and fly over a unique luxury ranch property only about 1.5 miles as the crow flies beyond the New Mexico border in a small, small town call Blue River, Arizona. This shoot was unique because I actually stayed on the property in the guest cabin, so I could easily shoot at all hours of the day capturing a luxury real estate property like I never was able to do before. The owner, Miriam, was a gracious host and very helpful even in assisting with some aspects of the shoot. If you want acres of land, your very own pond, and privacy, this might just be the place for you! Drone photography for commercial real estate in Albuquerque

Working for new client Lee & Associates who are based out of Arizona, I went to southeast Albuquerque, to make drone aerial commercial real estate photos of the former Ratheon Building. For such a large commercial building, still photos from ground level really cannot show it in full, and especially cannot show it in context to the Sandia Mountains and its more immediate neighborhood like drone photos can. Drone Video combined with the best interior photography style

I was contacted directly by the Geoffrey, the owner of this house in the Ridgecrest neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico to make drone video and interior photos, plus twilight photos as he has chosen to sell it by owner. I spent a good amount of time meeting with him to discuss the photography and drone video of the house and then on site several times to get a wide variety of photographs to help him sell it as quickly as possible and for the best possible price. Drone video shows the property in context with the surrounding neighborhood, and the numerous interior photos I made using a combination of styles such as flambient, HDR, and detail really cover all the highlights of the design of the home. Staying in Albuquerque for real estate photography

After traveling around the state (and beyond) for real estate photography recently, it was nice to have a professional residential real estate shoot right here in Albuquerque. I have known Dan McGirk almost since I first moved to ABQ, so was glad to get the call from him to photograph more of his real estate listings. I really appreciate that Dan appreciates the benefits of choosing a professional photographer to shoot a residential home rather than the listing agent merely making cell phone photos of a few rooms. The photos alone may not sell the house, but proper professional photos will get more potential buyers to schedule a viewing. Commercial real estate photography inside and out in ABQ

Typically when Smartshoot offers me a commercial photography job here in Albuquerque, New Mexico it is for a food photography shoot. However, this time the client was not a restaurant, but an apartment complex needing a few select interiors and exteriors photographed with updated photos for their website and marketing materials. For this shoot I made entirely HDR real estate photos for both the interior and exterior images. Photographing non-staged interiors is always a challenge, but I focused on the features each room did have to highlight each particular living space. The exteriors were easy since the grounds were very green and the buildings had interesting design.

Any chance I get to go up to Taos, however brief, is welcome. One a recent afternoon, a client wanted me to make drone video and a 360 panorama aerial drone photo of his luxury home he was planning to sell, even before he had hired a real estate agent! He knew himself the value of drone video in selling a property like his, as he was hoping to attract an out of state and even out of country buyer. The drone video shows the whole property in context with the Taous mountains providing the background. Likewise, the 360 panorama drone aerial photo lets the viewer look around the property as they wish from the drone’s view. Luxury Residential Real Estate Interior Commercial Photography Ruidoso New Mexico

Luxury home photographed in flambient technique with 50mm too

Usually I am traveling for rural land real estate photography all over New Mexico, but this time it was for luxury residential real estate interior photography for a luxury home designed by Bailey Bishop of Bailey Bishop Design. This was a long postponed shoot that was first scheduled for March, but then the pandemic started and it took until now for things to be safe for Bailey to travel from California to meet me for the shoot. It was also my first time to finally get to see Ruidoso. I was immediately impressed with the design of the rooms and knew it would be a shoot I could really showcase the flambient style of real estate interior photography. Always wanting to deliver as much creativity for clients as possible, I did not just use the amazing flambient technique. I also took my camera off the tripod, put on my Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART lens in order to make photos showing unique views of the rooms as well as detail shots of the numerous small touches Bailey put in her overall designs.
