More Creative Real Estate Photography than expected in Rio Rancho

This luxury real estate property in Rio Rancho, New Mexico was first featured in this blog post showing more traditional interior and exterior photos. What is offered here at Jason Collin Photography is far more than just the usual in real estate photography. Looking to push the boundaries of what creative real estate photography for luxury homes can be, at the end of the shoot I walk the entire property with a handheld 50mm lens looking for unique views of a room with a less wide field of view. This may result in a photo with a very shallow depth of field, or only the very corner of a room, or simply featuring the part of the bathroom a prospective buyer will find most relaxing. My goal is to always be more creative, more inventive, even in real estate photography.

When light and sky and clouds come together for rural land photography

In the past 4 years I have photographed hundreds and hundreds of rural land real estate properties all over New Mexico. Every now and then the light and the sky make for an exceptional background to what in reality is just an empty piece of high desert. Such was the case for this property in Torrance County New Mexico, near Moriarty. The land had just one bush on it, and otherwise just foot high grass. However, thanks to an infinite sky filled with soft sunlight and painted with just the right amount of clouds, these rural land photos stand out. This does not happen by accident, as I waited over 2 weeks for just the right day for this client, even driving halfway out there (50 miles round trip!) only to turn around as it became too cloudy. This is the experience and professionalism I offer real estate clients. No one has photographed and flown over more rural land properties than I have. Rio Rancho Real Estate Photography for Contemporary Luxury Home

Jim contacted me about real estate photography for his contemporary luxury home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Photographing such a beautifully designed and decorated luxury home is a pleasure for me. The open concept living room and kitchen was an area I alone spent over an hour photographing! Photographing a luxury home like this I use the best interior photography technique of flambient when the shot suited it, and other times traditional off camera lighting shots. Drone photography for commercial real estate in Albuquerque

Working for new client Lee & Associates who are based out of Arizona, I went to southeast Albuquerque, to make drone aerial commercial real estate photos of the former Ratheon Building. For such a large commercial building, still photos from ground level really cannot show it in full, and especially cannot show it in context to the Sandia Mountains and its more immediate neighborhood like drone photos can. Drone Video combined with the best interior photography style

I was contacted directly by the Geoffrey, the owner of this house in the Ridgecrest neighborhood of Albuquerque, New Mexico to make drone video and interior photos, plus twilight photos as he has chosen to sell it by owner. I spent a good amount of time meeting with him to discuss the photography and drone video of the house and then on site several times to get a wide variety of photographs to help him sell it as quickly as possible and for the best possible price. Drone video shows the property in context with the surrounding neighborhood, and the numerous interior photos I made using a combination of styles such as flambient, HDR, and detail really cover all the highlights of the design of the home. Staying in Albuquerque for real estate photography

After traveling around the state (and beyond) for real estate photography recently, it was nice to have a professional residential real estate shoot right here in Albuquerque. I have known Dan McGirk almost since I first moved to ABQ, so was glad to get the call from him to photograph more of his real estate listings. I really appreciate that Dan appreciates the benefits of choosing a professional photographer to shoot a residential home rather than the listing agent merely making cell phone photos of a few rooms. The photos alone may not sell the house, but proper professional photos will get more potential buyers to schedule a viewing. Commercial real estate photography inside and out in ABQ

Typically when Smartshoot offers me a commercial photography job here in Albuquerque, New Mexico it is for a food photography shoot. However, this time the client was not a restaurant, but an apartment complex needing a few select interiors and exteriors photographed with updated photos for their website and marketing materials. For this shoot I made entirely HDR real estate photos for both the interior and exterior images. Photographing non-staged interiors is always a challenge, but I focused on the features each room did have to highlight each particular living space. The exteriors were easy since the grounds were very green and the buildings had interesting design.
