Covid-19 safe on location headshot shoot for a future teacher

If you have been waiting for a new headshot because of Covid-19, here at Jason Collin Photography Covid-19 safe headshot shoots are available both here at the JCP Home Studio, and right at your own location. I visited Zoe right in her own home, bringing my full studio setup (see BTS photo below) to make the best headshots for teachers available in Albuquerque. I even photographed her on three different background colors, that is the flexibility my on location headshots shoots offer clients. Plus, they are Covid-19 safe as I shoot with a mask on the entire time and maintain social distancing during the entire shoot.

New Mexico State Senate Candidate on location photo shoot

I always really, really appreciate returning clients to Jason Collin Photography, and especially when the photos I make for them are as important as they are for New Mexico State Senate candidate Athena Christodoulou. Our first photo shoot was here at the JCP Home Studio for headshots. During this time of the coronavirus pandemic social distancing is a must, and for this on location shoot we were always more than 6 feet from each other and no one else was around. Jessica and I both wore masks during the entire shoot as well. It was a fun challenge to shoot in these conditions! Thank you fo Jessica for climbing a wall to get the diffuser in just the right place and to Athena for continuing to choose me as the photographer for her campaign.

Downtown Albuquerque all of a sudden has been an in demand location for my professional headshot photo services! Often when I debut a new photo style on Jason Collin Photography new clients see it and want it too. Such was the case for these lawyer headshots with Scott of Turner Law Firm. The advantage of shooting on location is that you get an absolutely unique background for your headshot. This is demonstrated by the fact just 15 minutes earlier, at the same two downtown ABQ locations, I photographed his partner, Joshua, with the same lighting setup, same intersections in the background, and you can see how different his headshots turned out.

On location headshot photography at its best in ABQ

Very rarely do I get to make headshots out on location, so when local KRQE meteorologist Connor Lewis asked for a shoot in downtown Albuquerque, I was very excited for it. As it turns out, this was one of my best every photo shoots of any kind. Being used to shooting headshots in studio with a solid white, black, or gray background, having a changing palette in the form of the downtown streets added a new creative element to every headshot I made for Connor. The traffic lights chasing from green to red made a difference, a car stopping with its lights on added to the background, and then in the next shot it moved on and was gone. This was fascinating to me. All through the shoot Connor was the one constant, always being ready for when I framed the shot and needed to get it in what could be my only chance.
