Getting the value of personal branding professional photos in ABQ

Natalie contacted me wanting headshots and personal branding photography made on location here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was a Covid-19 safe outdoor shoot that produced the same studio quality results I do for all my clients. She suggested the duck pond on the UNM Campus which provided a nice green background and some seated pose options as well. In today’s solo entrepreneur world, marketing and branding yourself starts with having an outstanding headshot and a selection of personal branding photos to use on social media. Getting candids with Jalene and friends

Longtime and one of my favorite photography clients, Jalene, asked if I could make some candid portraits of her and other board members of Save New Mexico. If you have followed the blog of Jason Collin Photography for some time, you will see I photograph people, organizations, and events from across the political spectrum. This was a very fun shoot where Jalene’s abundance of personality made it easy to get fun candids of the group, and we also made headshots for everyone on location too. What better location for an interior designer to have a headshot shoot than in the space she designed herself? That is how we ended the interiors shoot I did for Bailey in Ruidoso. The natural light was so good in the space, I just put on my 50mm lens and made all these headshots without any off camera lighting. As always, I wanted to capture as much personality as possible, so there are some usual smiles and some laughing photos as well as unusual foreground composition headshots. Willie’s second headshot shoot this summer in Albuquerque

I really appreciate returning clients to Jason Collin Photography, so I was very glad to get a text from Willie asking about another headshot shoot, just after we had the first one in May. That time was in studio, this time was out on location in downtown Albuquerque. The main benefit of shooting on location is that you get your own unique background that I will never be able to replicate for another client. Willie had seen the headshots I made for KRQE meteorologist Connor Lewis near the Civic Plaza area of downtown and wanted similar, though I told him I will not be able to get exactly the same results. Professional business headshots on location in Albuquerque

Lisa is new to Albuquerque and needed a new professional business headshot. She wanted as safe of a Covid-19 headshot shoot as possible, so we chose an outdoor location, Altura Park, for our shoot. During the shoot I wore a mask and maintained social distancing shooting with my Sony 70-200mm f/2.8 G Master lens that has fantastic image quality, creamy bokeh, and allows me to stay quite a distance from the person I am photographing. Justin wanted variety in his business headshots so we started with an on location headshot shoot in Altura Park and finished with in studio shots here at the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
