New sign new photos for the San Mateo Inn in Albuquerque

I really appreciate returning clients, and Yvette, owner of the San Mateo Inn, is one of the ones I appreciate the most. I returned to the San Mateo Inn for a fifth photo shoot! She got a new sign for the inn plus did even more remodeling of some of the rooms, so it was time for updated photos. Just like I did on a previous shoot, I got a daylight and nighttime exterior shot of the hotel with its great looking new sign. No lighting this time though during the night shot! Commercial Portraits for a magazine article in downtown ABQ

This was another great magazine article shoot for Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City done right here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. And in a very big coincidence, it was nearly a year to the day of my very first shoot for them and it was in the exact same building! Even though it was the same building, I met Janice in a different area of its amazing lobby in this kind of loft style conference room. Janice was very detailed orientated during her commercial portrait shoot, which is great for getting an as close to perfect shot as possible. Dogs for social media marketing photos in Albuquerque New Mexico

Returning client Miguel of El Paisano Supermarket whom I have done several food photography shoots for in the past, had a very different photo shoot idea in mind this time. He wanted social media marketing photos of his French Bulldogs made on a colorful orange background. You do not need to do much besides feature a tiny French Bulldog puppy to make an attention grabbing social media photo, but putting her in a dog “Dogs Rulle” dog food bowl and then having the other two dogs pose with books and glasses for props while wearing sweaters, and now Miguel has a lot of high impact photo content to use on social media. Photography to put your dog on a treat bag!

Victoria visited the JCP Home Studio with her corgi, Mama, for a commercial photo shoot to make images to hopefully put Mama onto a dog treat package. I photographed her dog on a clean white background to make it easy to eventually “cut out” Mama and emblazon her perked up ears onto whatever kind of treat bag she may end up on. This was a fun and challenging shoot and I believe the first time in 12 years as a pro photographer I was actually paid to photograph a dog alone (not with her/his owner). I coincidentally today just photographed the second dog ever for a commercial shoot! None in 12 years and then two in a little over a month.

Getting fun candids of a professional organizer and friend in ABQ

This was my second commercial portrait photo shoot (check out the first shoot) with long time networking friend, Miriam, of More Than Organized. She is a certified professional organizer and a Money Breakthrough Business Coach. She is also a very fun person and I tried to keep up with her during the shoot capturing all the great candid action! We started out with getting some before and after shots of her organizing files and such, then had some flying $100 bill business coach shots, before finishing with organized time candids in her office. It’s always different when you are photographing someone you know, it’s more relaxed, and when that someone is Miriam it’s also a lot of laughs! Books, a dog, and great light for personal branding photos for an author

Visiting the home of Rio Rancho, New Mexico based author Linda Kolsky for personal branding photos and a commercial portrait photo shoot was a great creative experience. Using different areas of Linda’s home, as well as props, and sure to steal the show, her dog Winston, we made a variety of different photos for her to use in promoting her upcoming book. The light in her living room was fantastic and I want to use it as a photo studio! Thank you to Linda for being open to my photo ideas and for having your own, and to Winston for sitting for some photos, and to Jessica for assisting on this shoot. It was a true team effort!

Standing out on LinkedIn with a vivid colorful background

As expected, once clients saw the first examples of the new vivid color backgrounds I am offering here at the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico, they want them too! Christian already has his new, cool green background headshot up on his LinkedIn profile. We started out making a blue background headshot to match the first shirt he was wearing. He then wanted a three-quarter headshot view for a more casual, relaxed look as he donned a t-shirt for the shot. Thank you Christian for choosing me as your headshot photographer!
