Branding Headshots and Interior Photography for Lawyers in ABQ
It was a fun shoot at Peak Legal Group here in Albuquerque, New Mexico with Sheryl and Harold and their dog who made an appearance in several photos. It’s all part of making good branding photos, including your dog, your own personality, and yourself! It was a wide ranging shoot at their firm making interior photos, as well as better than stock photography of the two lawyers with a “client,” and then also studio quality headshots. You can see in the BTS shot that I can make studio quality headshots even in the tiniest of spaces! Thank you Harold and Sheryl for choosing me as your photographer.
From Porsche photos to candid family portraits in the Sandias
Julia first contacted me about a year ago to make photos of her dad and his stunning new Porsche Taycan. This time it was photos for the whole family with a candidfamily portrait photo session in the Sandias in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You would not be able to believe it from the photos, but it snowed overnight and in the morning where we shot it would have been totally snow covered! By the late afternoon it melted and we had our candid family portrait session as scheduled. It was a fun time in the mountains making portraits. Dogs for social media marketing photos in Albuquerque New Mexico
Returning client Miguel of El Paisano Supermarket whom I have done several food photography shoots for in the past, had a very different photo shoot idea in mind this time. He wanted social media marketing photos of his French Bulldogs made on a colorful orange background. You do not need to do much besides feature a tiny French Bulldog puppy to make an attention grabbing social media photo, but putting her in a dog “Dogs Rulle” dog food bowl and then having the other two dogs pose with books and glasses for props while wearing sweaters, and now Miguel has a lot of high impact photo content to use on social media. Victoria visited the JCP Home Studio with her corgi, Mama, for a commercial photo shoot to make images to hopefully put Mama onto a dog treat package. I photographed her dog on a clean white background to make it easy to eventually “cut out” Mama and emblazon her perked up ears onto whatever kind of treat bag she may end up on. This was a fun and challenging shoot and I believe the first time in 12 years as a pro photographer I was actually paid to photograph a dog alone (not with her/his owner). I coincidentally today just photographed the second dog ever for a commercial shoot! None in 12 years and then two in a little over a month.
Books, a dog, and great light for personal branding photos for an author
Visiting the home of Rio Rancho, New Mexico based author Linda Kolsky for personal branding photos and a commercial portrait photo shoot was a great creative experience. Using different areas of Linda’s home, as well as props, and sure to steal the show, her dog Winston, we made a variety of different photos for her to use in promoting her upcoming book. The light in her living room was fantastic and I want to use it as a photo studio! Thank you to Linda for being open to my photo ideas and for having your own, and to Winston for sitting for some photos, and to Jessica for assisting on this shoot. It was a true team effort!
I headed down to Socorro, New Mexico to meet Scot for an editorial photoshoot for Pulse Magazine, which is the magazine for Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. As a nurse and alumni, he was being featured for being the first nurse anesthetist at Socorro General Hospital to live there locally in more than 40 years! I made several photos of Scot, but I should not have been suprised the one the magazine chose also had his dog, Lola, in it!
I adopted Kiki when she was just 10 weeks old and 11 pounds. She has now turned 11 years old and in all that time we have never even spent one night apart. I cannot say that for any human being in my life. She is the one constant in a life of great change. Whether it was on the beaches of Florida, the capital stairs of Des Moines, or the desert in New Mexico, Kiki has always been by my side.
