Pizza 9 Albuquerque Professional Food Photography for UberEats

Pizza 9 Albuquerque Professional Food Photography for UberEats

First Pizza Photography then Pizza Eating

Back out visiting restaurants around Albuquerque, New Mexico for UberEats took me to local chain Pizza 9 for a professional food photography photoshoot using the natural light techniques required by the client. A good dark, contrasting table was available to shoot on by good window light as well. I setup my Sony a7R IV on my tripod with amazing new Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART lens and proceeded to photograph pizza, calzones, and cheese crust bites! The food photo shoot was not the end of it for me, as I was allowed to take home the entire veggie pizza and cheese crust bites too! Thank you Pizza 9!

Albuquerque Food Photography for Grubhub All Things Guac

If you like guac or just saying the word, then . . .

For my second food photography shoot for Grubhub, I visited All things Guac!! (two exclamation points are in the actual name). I have said this before, but despite having photographed dozens of New Mexican restaurants, even at this shoot, I am still photographing dishes I have never heard of before. That was true for most of the fifteen dishes this time in fact! One I had heard of before of course, cheese quesadillas, I got to take home!

Heather contacted me wanting headshots to represent her as the professional she is, a psychologist. She even came to Albuquerque all the way from Arizona having specifically sought me out to be her headshot photographer after doing extensive online research! It was a lot of fun, and also as you can see some fantastic headshots with a lot of impact were made.

10 dish hero food photo

Having done dozens and dozens of shoots for UberEats, this morning was my first one for Grubhub. The latter has similar photography requirements to the former, but a lot more dishes! As you can see in the hero shot above, there are way more than just 5 dishes in it, as I shot 15 total for this Grubhub professional food photography shoot in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I managed to get 10 of the 15 in the final hero shot. A big thanks to Jacob and his team at Two Cranes Bistro + Brews for getting all this food in front of my lens very efficiently. And also for having a vegan Beyond Cheeseburger on the menu! I look forward to returning as a customer!

70 Headshots in 2 Days with Engineers in Albuquerque New Mexico

70 Headshots in 2 Days with Engineers in Albuquerque New Mexico

70+ headshots in two days!

What is it like to make over 70 headshots over two days of shooting? Well, actually, it was surprisingly easy due to how well organized the team at Bohannan Huston was. Thanks to Brian and Marylin for getting everyone to the studio setup very efficiently and to Jessica for assisting. This was still the single biggest headshot shoot I did, taking three hours on a Monday morning and then three more hours on a Wednesday afternoon. Thanks to my well established lighting setup, even a conference room can be a very effective photo studio. I was able to accommodate people of all heights, glasses or no glasses, and keep the results of each headshot consistent so when looked at on the company website, as you see here on my own site, there is uniformity to each engineer. After each day’s headshot shoot, we did however getting a little more creative with these psychedelic candid portraits!

Photograph it, then eat it!

Back out on another UberEats food photography shoot, this time at Rude Boy Cookies near UNM in central Albuquerque, New Mexico. As the name might imply, this was a much sweeter than usual food photography shoot in ABQ! They make cookies, of course, but also ice cream, shakes, gold bars, and even a flavor shot with milk! If photographing this food was not fun enough, the owner said I could take whatever I wanted home! I took it all save for the glass of milk. Thank you Rude Boy Cookies and thanks also to Jessica for assisting on this shoot.
