The accounting firm of Loftis & Lovato Group first chose me as their headshot photographer for their office here in Albuquerque, New Mexico back in February of this year. Their team keeps growing and I am very thankful they continue to choose me as their headshot photographer. The latest team member, Kelsie, visited the JCP Home Studio to get a headshot that looks just like all the other accountant headshots I made at their office in February. This is a headshot service I am very proud of to offer clients: same studio quality headshot, in studio, or at your office, even months later as you add new team members! While out watering the hedge in my backyard in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the sudden water shower revealed this sizable praying mantis! I put down the hose and went inside to grab my camera which fortunately already had on my Sony 90mm f/2.8 G macro lens. Not wanting to get attacked by the mantis, but still wanting to get as up close as possible, I eased into making photos of the mantis getting a bit close each shot until finally she/he looked right into the lens as you can see above! It was nice to use my macro lens for this kind of shot, as I mostly use it as my headshot lens.

Listening to what my clients want is something I like to think I do very well. So to read Bettina’s review of our headshot shoot was very satisfying to me as she said, “took the time to learn what my vision / goal was.” For her shoot, she wanted black and gray backgrounds, and I made sure that the position of her glasses relevant to the camera lens looked the best (i.e. no artifacting causing doubles nor any glare). Bettina was very good in front of the camera, so we were able to take a few shots, proof them together, then refine things exactly in the second round of headshots. Then to receive such a wonderful review made me happy knowing I was able to deliver great headshots for my client. Thank you again Bettina!
Black Sage Tech already had consistent headshots for all its team members. So what to do when adding a new employee? They chose to contact me to match the style of the headshots they already had for their new local Albuquerque team member. Randy visited the JCP Home Studio and having received the link to the team page for how to match the headshot, I had everything ready for when Randy arrived for a Covid-19 safe headshot shoot so that he was in studio less than 10 minutes. It also helped that Randy was great in front of the camera!
