Listening to the client is very important in headshot photography as this type of photograph in particular, is absolutely all about the client. Dominic visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for his headshot session, and this angle and pose were his idea. It turned out to be my favorite shot of the shoot as well. Going super vivid with a yellow background for headshots in ABQ

Long-time networking friend Paul has been referring several people to me for headshots, which I really appreciate! That is how Amelia came to visit the JCP Home Studio for her headshot session. After adjusting the lighting to make sure there was no glare in her glasses, we tried out several background colors before ending with an exciting vibrant yellow which was my favorite of the shoot. As expected, the more clients see the new vivid color backgrounds I now offer, the more they are choosing them for their own headshots! Teen singer Sophia visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her parents for a series of creative headshots to help promote her singing career. In a short period of time, even with numerous outfit changes, we were able to create many different headshot looks for her to use for social media, marketing, and personal branding. Sophia did great in front of the camera for not being that experienced, and it was nice chatting with her parents while MUA Samanthia kept her makeup and hair photo ready (follow Samanthia on Instagram). It was a true team effort creating these headshots!

Now one of my most longtime clients, Tavis of Morrison Outdoors keeps creating outstanding sleeping bags for kids in ever more vibrant colors! Last month he sent me an orange sleeping bag, and now a cool purple one. My sleeping bag as a kid never looked like this! As a professional product photographer in Albuquerque, New Mexico, one of my main goals is to deliver consistent results for clients, even over years of shooting the same product. For example, while shooting this new purple sleeping bag for Tavis, I had on screen the last orange sleeping bag shoot so I could as exactly as possible recreate each and every shot from lighting to the composition angle.
