Princesses need headshots too in ABQ

It’s not every day a princess visits the JCP Home Studio right here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but such was the case when Sarah arrived for her headshot session. She was after all the princess in the Princess in the Frog at Shanghai Disney no less! Back in the U.S. and with a new haircut, she wanted updated headshots for an upcoming audition. Shooting tethered Sarah was able to see in real time what her headshots looked like. We worked together to create just the right smile for each headshot on several different background colors. New Year is the perfect time for new headshots in Albuquerque

I started out 2023 with a great headshot session with Sarah, who wanted a series of headshots that reflected the fun atmosphere of the business she worked at. With a wardrobe change and glasses change, we were able to create a number of different headshot looks. Add to that an aperture change on my part to create a 3D type shallow depth of field headshot, in just a 30 minute headshot session Sarah finished with 5 different headshot looks. It helped she was great in front of the camera and made the headshot session a lot of fun! Thank you Sarah for choosing me as your headshot photographer!

More and more voice actors are choosing Jason Collin Photography in Albuquerque, New Mexico for high impact headshots. Glenn visited the JCP Home Studio wanting a series of headshots he could use in his voice acting work. The irony was not lost on us regarding the importance of a visual headshot for work that is voice only! However, many voice actors make YouTube videos to promote their work and for that all important YouTube thumbnail cover image, you need a high impact headshot! That’s exactly what I did for Glenn during our shoot, making a range of headshots from serious to smiling on both white and black backgrounds. Long time client WSP added quite a few more engineering team members, so I returned to their office in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my mobile studio setup for another team headshot photo session. Scott’s company was actually going to fly him to Phoenix to get headshots because they thought he could not get good enough headshots right here in Albuquerque. Thankfully his contact person found me and Scott did not have to fly all the way to Phoenix just to get headshots! Making headshots for medical residency applications in Albuquerque

Evelyn visited the JCP Home Studio needing headshots for her medical residency application. During the shoot we followed the guidelines she was given. Evelyn did great in front of the camera and after editing I sent her the photos in the very low res size needed. The challenge started with getting them to upload despite being the exact specs! Team Headshots for PayneWest in Albuquerque New Mexico for 27 people head-to-toe

Getting creative with shooting and setting up for head-to-toe headshots in New Mexico

This past summer PayneWest had its annual awards event here in New Mexico where I made event photos, but before that, 27 team members visited the mobile studio setup for a head-to-toe headshot that featured their personality. Even after 13 years, new things can come up with a shoot, and this time it was using a seamless paper background on location for head-to-toe headshots, which I have done many, many times, but this time the space provided had carpeting! Paper on carpet is no good, with high heels instantly going through the paper. I had to think quick, and asked the staff at Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa if they had any portable dance floor squares, thinking back to my wedding photographer days. They did! So then the head-to-toe headshots could proceed where I shot tethered (see below) so that each person could see instant results and change up their pose how they liked.
