On Location in Nambe and Santa Fe with the Precision Survey Crew

Fantastic new client Precision Surveys, Inc has already had me all over the area between Rio Rancho and Nambe for a series of on location commercial portrait shoots of the PSI crew in action. Working for Larry and his crew was a lot of fun, and some of the crew even stepped in to help as photographer’s assistants! They told me that the mesa you can see above, is where Curley (spoilers) died in the movie City Slickers. You do not often get interesting movie trivia like that on a photo shoot! This on location photo shoot was a lot of fun and thank you to Larry for choosing me as your photographer and to the crew for being great both in front of and behind the camera!

Consistent Professional Product Photography in Albuquerque

Even though Tavis of Morrison Outdoors has moved from New Mexico to Washington, I am very flattered he continues to choose me as his product photographer for his innovative kids sleeping bags. He shipped the latest sleeping bag to me and I made the same series of photos of the product like I had done for him in three past shoots. Providing consistent results over several years is something I am proud to offer clients here at Jason Collin Photography. This time Tavis wanted a few extra shots of the sleeping bag “dancing” that he could use for a fun gif. So the four photos above if you swipe through them quickly give the illusion of the orange sleeping bag doing a little dance! Sharon had a long time photographer partner for her sculptures (check out her website). So when it came to finding another photographer to continue photographing her work, she searched for a long time, and I am glad to say she found and chose me! I always prefer the artist to present and have input, especially for the first photo shoot, after all, she knows which angles and perspectives are best of her own artwork! Sharon brought over five sculptures and with her placement and the simple, but effective lighting setup I had, it was a very smooth and productive art photo shoot. Leslie first visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for actor headshots in December 2020. She returned for a second set just three months later because she had a hair color change and wanted headshots that featured her new look. For this second shoot, I changed up the listing and style as well, making headshots for her unlike I have for anyone else to date. Local Albuquerque actor O’Brien visited the JCP Home Studio for a series of portfolio shots and headshots. Working on a white seamless background in a Covid-19 safe shooting environment, I was able to make for O’Brien a wide variety of high impact photos to fill out his acting portfolio with, and a headshot that will catch the eye of casting directors. This was a really fun photo shoot with O’Brien being open to my ideas and bringing his own ideas as well. The result was a varied portfolio shoot with maximum creativity.
