Letting actors shine during their headshot photo session in ABQ

Right from the moment Hillary walked into the JCP Home Studio here in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I knew this was going to be a high energy and dynamic actor headshot photoshoot. More and more actors are choosing Jason Collin Photography for their headshots, and I really appreciate it! When someone has an outgoing personality like Hillary’s, I just get the lighting right, have my camera ready, and let them do their thing. That’s how in less than an hour photo session we were able to create so many different headshot looks, with wardrobe changes, some lighting changes, and some background color changes too. Creative Variety in Singer Headshots in Albuquerque New Mexico

Teen singer Sophia visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her parents for a series of creative headshots to help promote her singing career. In a short period of time, even with numerous outfit changes, we were able to create many different headshot looks for her to use for social media, marketing, and personal branding. Sophia did great in front of the camera for not being that experienced, and it was nice chatting with her parents while MUA Samanthia kept her makeup and hair photo ready (follow Samanthia on Instagram). It was a true team effort creating these headshots!

As more actors choose Jason Collin Photography for high impact headshots, more actors are referring other actors to visit the JCP Home Studio. Such was the case of Audrey referring Avery. Thank you Audrey! Teen actor Avery was getting professional headshots for the first time, so I was happy to help her find her own style and look for her headshots. She came with her grandmother who also helped her choose the very best of the headshots we made during the session. It was a team effort!

Creative Actor Headshots in downtown Albuquerque

More and more actors are moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and more and more actors are choosing Jason Collin Photography for their headshots. I met Andy in a favorite downtown ABQ spot for an on location headshot session on a variety of dynamic backgrounds. Andy wanted headshots that really accentuated his facial expressions, so I did a lot of shooting with my Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART lens to really bring the DoF onto his face and eyes in particular. Leslie first visited the JCP Home Studio in Albuquerque, New Mexico for actor headshots in December 2020. She returned for a second set just three months later because she had a hair color change and wanted headshots that featured her new look. For this second shoot, I changed up the listing and style as well, making headshots for her unlike I have for anyone else to date. Creative ideas for actor portfolio shots in Albuquerque

Local Albuquerque actor O’Brien visited the JCP Home Studio for a series of portfolio shots and headshots. Working on a white seamless background in a Covid-19 safe shooting environment, I was able to make for O’Brien a wide variety of high impact photos to fill out his acting portfolio with, and a headshot that will catch the eye of casting directors. This was a really fun photo shoot with O’Brien being open to my ideas and bringing his own ideas as well. The result was a varied portfolio shoot with maximum creativity. Voice Actor Headshots in Albuquerque New Mexico with Jeffrey

Rhode Island connection with a voice actor in ABQ

It is not often I meet someone else from Rhode Island here in New Mexico, but such was the case when Jeffery, a voice actor, visited the JCP Home Studio for commercial portraits and headshots. For his style Jeffrey wanted a black background. For some of the shots he even brought is own props. I was glad for the opportunity to photograph him “live” while talking into the mic making it look like he was doing voice acting. You can see the BTS shot below showing the three light setup I used to make the above image. This was a creative shoot that let me experiment with light in ways I do not often get to do, plus talk about Rocky Point!
